Halloween

This Halloween was a BLAST! I had so much fun with Jaxson this year. He was so excited to run from door to door and get treats.
I had to work in the morning so Jaxson got to sleep over at Nana and Papa's house and get special pumpkin pancakes for breakfast...lucky kid. He thought they were so cool!

Dan and Jaxson hard at work carving their pumpkins

Jaxson's pumpkin. He didn't want a mouth on his pumpkin, but he wanted it to have hands.

A fairy, a pirate and a UPS man...doesn't get much cuter than that. These 3 had a lot of fun getting candy at all the houses in the neighborhood. I'm surprised Jaxson lasted as long as he did, he had a blast!

All the kids at our neighbors house for a post Trick or Treating party. We had yummy taco soup, the kids played in the playroom, the mom's sat and talked and the dads watched football of course. It was a perfect ending to the night.

Brushing Teeth

This is what happens when I tell Jaxson it's time to brush his teeth (Notice 2 stools on top of each other). He's such a cute kid!

OCD?

This is my sweet boy right now. He always takes toys to bed with him but I thought it was extra cute that the cars are all watching him sleep. It's like they are at a very boring drive in movie titled "Sleeping Jaxson"

Popcorn & a Movie

Jaxson and I have had such a fun week together this week. Tonight, Jaxson asked if we could watch a movie and eat popcorn, it was perfect because we could have fun and I could get the laundry done at the same time.
Jaxson started out by feeding himself pretzels and popcorn out of the buckets of his new tractors.

I guess this is what a kid ends up looking like for half the day when you are potty training.

After I folded the laundry, Jaxson took advantage of my empty laundry basket and made it his seat for the rest of the movie, it was so cute!

Potty Training

So I have been putting off potty training for long enough. I have 2 weeks off work and I am determined to get this boy potty trained during that time. I have learned that Jaxson is almost just as stubborn as I am but I am winning this battle and that is final!!! I have also learned that a kid can pee VERY often (every 10 min) if he is getting a reward.
The first few days were TERRIBLE!!! I don't think I have EVER been so frustrated in my whole life, especially not with my sweet boy, but it was so FRUSTRATING! Thanks to my mom's great advice (putting cheerios in the toilet and letting him squirt them) he is pretty much good at using the potty unless he has to poop or during nap and bedtime. (So if anyone has any advice on those, feel free) Unfortunately since he did it for the first time standing up, there is no going back which means more messes for me! Boys are messy that's for sure!

This picture is for my mom...this is what I let my kid do to your house while you were on vacation. Notice the whole roll of TP rolled out on the floor, the potty seat thrown onto the floor and the books to read while "trying" to poop.
Jaxson is now going on his own, telling me when he needs to go (and telling me to go out if I try to stay in the bathroom and watch) Now we just have to accomplish those sleeping times!

Visitors

We had such fun visitors last week. Gramps and Nana Lana came to visit for a whole week. Jaxson was so excited to have visitors even though he doesn't know either of them very well. He had so much fun getting to know them better. He talked Lana's ears off! I'm just sad I didn't take hardly any pictures of them while they are here, so these one's will have to do. Uncle Jake also came out from Texas to visit, we had fun with him but we missed Julia and the kids, maybe next time :)
Jaxson and Daddy opening up his new scooter that Gramps and Nana Lana bought him for his birthday.
You can't see Jaxson's face in any of the pictures I took of him on his scooter...shows my lack of photography skills, but notice the grass growing in our yard behind him. Yeah!!!
Jax wearing his halloween shirt and new glasses from Nana Lana. He had a hard time with the glasses at first because they were a little big but he loves them and I think they are the coolest, nerdiest glasses in the world.
Jax and Gramps. Jax had a hard time saying Gramps sometimes, usually it came out like "Camp" Jaxson loves his Grandparents and had so much fun having them come visit. He still asks where they are and when we are going to Nana Lana's house (sorry Terry, according to Jaxson, it's her house not yours, guess he knows who's boss of your house)
